The Arts Consortium is inviting artists to come set up inside the Arts Consortium’s gallery space. This is a great opportunity for artists who are interested in showcasing and selling their artwork.

There will only be two (2) available spots. A waitlist option will be available. October’s F1rst Friday will also host an Open Mic and music featuring participants of our My Voice Media Center guitar session.

Requirements (please read carefully as some requirements have changed.)

  • You must be an Arts Consortium Annual Membership Program holder. Please make sure if you are not already a member to become a member before F1rst Friday: October 4th.
  • Must bring your own table and chairs; or anything your set up will need. Each artist is limited to setting up two 30” x 72” tables (or smaller set-up).
  • We ask that artist stay for the duration of the event.
  • All art must be original and family friendly.

Set up is from 3-4:45pm. F1rst Friday hours are from 5pm – 8pm and we would like everyone to be ready to go by 5pm.

Set up is in the gallery space of the Arts Consortium – 340 E. Oak Ave, Ste 112, Visalia.

TKHCC Artist Opportunity

The Arts Consortium is partnering with the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (TKHCC) to invite four artists to have a booth at the TKHCC Dia de los Muertos celebration.

Requirements:

  • You must be an Arts Consortium Annual Membership Program holder. If you are not a member please sign up for the membership program before October 18, 2024 @ 12:00pm.
  • Participants will be responsible for providing their own canopy, table, and chairs.
  • Booth spot is about 10′ x 10′ area and are assigned on a first-come, first served basis.
  • All art must be original and family friendly.
  • Set up is from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
  • Participants can take down their booth no earlier than 8 p.m.
  • No beverages may be sold unless agreed upon by the TKHCC (event organizer) and arranged in advance.
  • No TV, radio, or amplified music allowed.
  • BUSINESS INSURANCE: If you can provide proof of business insurance as part of the TKHCC’s requirements to participate in this event, then please send that to hello@artsconsortium.org as soon as you finish submitting this application. If you cannot provide this, then the Arts Consortium will provide one-time insurance coverage to you for this event – So long as you abide by all of the aforementioned requirements and so long as you do not violate the Arts Consortium’s Standards of Conduct (included below) in any way.

Notice Regarding Photography/Audio/and Video Recordings
Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (TKHCC) captures photographs and/or audio/video recordings during events. Such photographs and recordings may be used in TKHCC advertising materials and social media relations to let others know of our events. In addition, local news organizations may hear of our events and TKHCC may allow them to record events for news reporting on special interest features.

City of Visalia Community Art Grant Program

The City of Visalia has partnered with the Arts Consortium to make the “City of Visalia Community Art Grant Program.” This program was created to help facilitate the growth of Visalia’s cultural resources that reach diverse segments of the community.

Under this microgrant program, qualified individuals and nonprofit organizations can apply once per year for up to $2,500 in assistance for performing arts or visual arts programming. The projects must take place in Visalia and have a direct benefit to the community. The Arts Consortium board reviews grant applications.

Listed will be your first and last name, art medium you specialize in, and preferred form of contact (phone number or online presence). A website, instagram, etc. is preferred.

Watermark Art Contest

The Arts Consortium presents the 2024 Watermark Art Contest. All Tulare County based artists are encouraged to submit artwork; ONE entry per artist. This contest features the best NEW artwork in Tulare County therefore all submitted work must be no older than July 2023

WINNING ARTIST
The winning artist will receive a $500 prize and the winning submission will be featured inside of our annual Watermark publication.
