During the South Valley Art Tour (SVAT) a collection of artists from Tulare County — both nationally recognized as well as aspiring greats — invite you into their personal workspaces for a behind-the-scenes tour.

Formally known as The South Valley Artists’ Studio Tour, the South Valley Art Tour remains Tulare County’s widest-reaching art event of the year. Due to the tremendous growth of the South Valley Art Tour over the years we have featured the Southern and Northern regions of Tulare County on alternating years. However in 2025 we are once again inviting all artists of Tulare County to participate!
South Valley Art Tour Passport
Community members visiting the artist studios will need to acquire a SVAT Passport. This keepsake booklet provides all the information, maps and directions needed to access the studios and artists. Visitors also have the option to use the FREE digital map that contains artist’s locations and information.
This passport booklet can be pre-ordered in person for $5 at the Arts Consortium location or online through Eventbrite for $7.18 (includes Eventbrite fees). PASSPORTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AFTER THE PRE-ORDER. While the physical booklet needs to be purchased visitors also have the option to use the FREE digital map.
Purchasing the Passport booklet, to have a physical copy of the maps, is recommended as some locations do not have cellphone reception.
Please be respectful of artists homes and other locations you visit while touring Tulare County for this event. We ask that you visit only on event days and scheduled times.
Some artists have open studio hours or you can schedule a visit with them outside of the event; keep a lookout for those!

New in 2025
For the 2025 SVAT we will be introducing a Stamp Rally!
Passport booklets will include *pages in the back that provide a space for artists and locations to either stamp, place a sticker, or sign (each artist and location will be unique!)
There will be two opportunity drawings for participating visitors!
1st prize – Visit all participating location
2nd prize – Visit at least half of the participating locations.

To be entered into the opportunity drawings the stamped pages will need to be provided to the Arts Consortium: either the physical pages or a picture taken of the completed pages.
*Visitors who are not able to purchase the Passport can still participate; printable pages will be uploaded to our website.

Artist Registration for 2025 is now closed.
If you are interested in participating in 2026, registration opens late 2025.

MARKETING + DONATION OPPORTUNITIES
Businesses, organizations, restaurants, and individuals have the opportunity to advertise via the South Valley Art Tour passport booklet.
During this two-day event, community members navigate between each stop by using the keepsake passport booklet and/or digital map. While the booklet is a purchasable good the digital map is completely free. Both the passport and digital map provides all the information, maps and directions needed to access the studios and artists. Ads are included in both the physical booklet and online.
You have the opportunity to put your marketing directly in the hands of every passport holder at an extremely reasonable rate!
Review the marketing + donation form, there are plenty of options to choose from. One highlighted tier is the featured “Pit Stop” restaurant. This tier gets a special deal, including a full page ad and their location(s) plotted on the tourists’ event maps. Those who choose this option often use the advertisement as a coupon for tourists who visit their location during the tour.
