Dear friends of the Arts Consortium:
Our Program Director, McKenna Friend-Hoffman, has announced her resignation. McKenna has been with the Arts Consortium for nearly 5 years. Among many other things, she has facilitated new programs for the organization including the Kid’s Club art activities, the Artists’ in Schools residency program, the South Valley Artists’ Studio Tour, and the First Friday art crawl.
While we are very sad to see her go, we wish McKenna the best of luck as she pursues other opportunities.
“I have learned so much about the nonprofit world and nonprofit management in the past five years. The Arts Consortium was my first job and it definitely became my dream job. I was able to try so many things and meet so many wonderful people. I am so thankful for what the Arts Consortium offers our community and I will continue to be an advocate for the arts,” McKenna says.
The Board wants to ensure a smooth transition that will not disrupt the great work we are doing on a daily basis. The organization is in the very capable hands of staff members Ampelio Mejia Perez and Joan Constable. While we work to restructure operations and responsibilities, please know you can reach out to us at any time with questions or concerns.
We look forward to the next phase of the Arts Consortium. We are already working hard to make this year one of stability and opportunity. Onward into 2017!
President of the Board
